1. Strategic Finance & Leadership
• Act as a key strategic partner to the CEO on financial performance, forecasting, risk management and strategic decision-making to drive measurable business growth
• Provide financial insights on capital allocation, ROI analysis, project and vessel profitability, and evolving maritime business models
• Drive alignment of financial and operational resources to maximise project outcomes and overall business value
2. Financial Operations, Planning & Reporting
• Lead financial operations to ensure accurate accounting, effective cost control and sound corporate finance management aligned with business strategy
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to support data-driven decision-making
• Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports and cash-flow projections to the CEO and Board
• Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, controls and data quality to support scalability and growth
3. Governance, Risk & Compliance
• Develop and implement governance frameworks to strengthen internal controls, compliance and risk management within the company
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory, tax and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors, legal counsel and tax advisors on audits, compliance, structuring and cross-border transactions
4. Capital Management & Fundraising
• Manage banking relationships, financing facilities and capital market activities
• Lead capital-raising initiatives including equity, debt, grants and strategic financing relevant to maritime and infrastructure projects
• Partner with the CEO, investors, banks and advisors on financial modelling, due diligence and investor materials
• Lead and support fundraising activities by preparing financial models, pitch materials, data rooms and responses to investor due diligence
5. Investor & Stakeholder Relations
• Manage investor relations and communications with the Board of Directors and external stakeholders
• Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, investment funds, auditors and advisors
• Ensure transparency, accuracy and credibility in all financial communications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred; open to candidates with degrees in other disciplines
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or CFA) strongly preferred
• 10+ years of finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role
• Experience in the maritime and shipping industry preferred
• Proven track record of driving financial performance and business growth, with strong financial modelling, analysis and reporting skills
