As a Marine Project Executive, you will support the end-to-end execution of shipbuilding and ship repair projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards and compliance with maritime regulations. The role involves coordinating with shipyards, vendors, classification societies and regulatory bodies, requiring strong project coordination skills and practical shipyard experience.
Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of shipbuilding and ship repair projects from kick-off through to delivery

• Coordinate with shipyard departments (engineering, production, QA/QC) to track construction progress

• Liaise with clients, classification societies and regulatory authorities for inspections and approvals

• Support procurement and expediting of materials, equipment and subcontractor services

• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, drawings, permits and test records

• Attend site meetings, inspections and sea trials as required

• Track project costs and variations, and assist in budgeting and invoicing processes

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field

• 2–5 years of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, or marine engineering projects

• Experience in large commercial Singapore shipyards is advantageous

• Familiarity with shipyard processes such as hull construction, outfitting and commissioning

• Basic understanding of classification society requirements (e.g. BV, ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register)

• Exposure to various vessel types including aluminium, passenger and fibre vessels

• Understanding of HSSE practices in shipyard operations

• Knowledge of Singapore shipyard practices and safety standards

• Familiarity with Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) regulatory requirements
